In all positions at GP Bikes, it is important for staff to be versatile and willing to assist with a variety of tasks. Unless otherwise stated, most positions involve working mainly during our store hours, however, additional projects may be assigned which require different working hours. Working off-site at Trade Shows beyond these store hours several times a year is a requirement.

  • As a Motorcycle Technician/Mechanic you are responsible for performing all forms of service work from tune-ups to engine rebuilds on most makes and models, including Ducati, Triumph, Honda and KTM. You will complete repair work accurately and within the scheduled time period. You will test ride bikes as required for diagnostic purposes prior to returning to the customer. You will conduct oil changes, tire changes and carb clean setups. This is a full-time position with a higher number of working hours in the busy season.

    Qualifications:

    • Passionate Motorcyclist and have a minimum M2 licence

    • Knowledge and experience working with Ducati, Triumph, Honda and KTM is an asset

    • Must have 310G Motorcycle Mechanic Trade Certification

    • Diagnostic skills with both carbureted and fuel injected engines

    • Basic computer skills

    • Must provide own toolbox and hand-tools specific to the trade while GP does supply some specialty tools

    • Maintain a clean organized workspace

  • As a Parts & Accessories Sales Associate you will deliver outstanding customer service by proactively assisting customers in store and answering inquiries by phone. On and Off-Road parts and accessories knowledge is required to effectively search and determine customers needs. Your goal is customer satisfaction. If this sounds like an ideal way to spend your work day, then this may be the job for you! This position is ideal if you are an individual with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to be versatile in your role working in our fast paced environment. Other tasks include ensuring merchandise is always presented neatly and priced correctly.

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of previous customer experience selling motorcycle parts

  • If you enjoy going the extra mile for a customer, making them feel like they know you well (even if you haven’t met face-to-face), then this may be the job for you! The Online/E-Commerce Sales Associate delivers outstanding customer service as they support clients by phone or email as they make online purchases. They pick the ordered products from our retail store or special order the items as necessary. Sales are enhanced by providing information about alternative products or add-ons. The Online Sales Associate will also enter all new or updated products to GP Bikes’ website, including data and images. Online Sales Associates help customers shopping in the retail store as needed. The individual must be able to work Saturdays. Working motorcycle trade shows beyond our normal store hours 2-3 times a year is compulsory.

    Qualifications:

    • Motorcycle apparel and accessories sales experience required (Parts knowledge is an asset)
    • Previous customer service experience
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport
    • Ability to move between various tasks without losing focus
    • Strong verbal, written, and keyboarding skills are required to compose professional emails and converse with customers by phone
    • Able to work with ease in a web-based computer environment

  • The Bookkeeper will be responsible for reconciling and processing all accounts payables each month. The Bookkeeper will also conduct daily/weekly reconciliations for the Online Sales Department. Duties include, but are not limited to, monthly reconciliation of all credit card statements, monthly general ledger entries, and balancing of all petty cash accounts.

    Job Duties:

    • Prepare and balance monthly accounts payables, including preparing cheques, coding and posting invoices via general ledger entries, and reconciliation of all online store transactions.  

    • Balance petty cash accounts, post general ledger entries for internal charges.

    • Monthly general ledger entries for automatic withdrawals. 

    • Reconcile credit card statements and process all journal entries related to statements.

    • File and maintain storage of all related records.

    • Maintain up-to-date supporting documentation of all financial, accounting and bookkeeping activities.

    • Provides assistance to the Senior Bookkeeper where needed.

    • Prepare cash floats for special events (motorcycle shows, trade shows). 

    • Provide on site support during Motorcycle Trade shows several times a year.

     

    Qualifications: 

    • Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience is required

    • Motorcycle or automotive industry experience is considered an asset

    • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles

    • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines

    • Excellent data entry skills 

    • Accountability and dependability

    • Strong ethics and integrity

    • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles,reasons, or facts

    • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment

    • This is a part-time position at approximately 16 hours per week (2-3 days)

  • The Merchandiser/Floor Supervisor will ensure the dealership sales goals are maximized through effective and strategic product placement while ensuring appropriate levels of stock are maintained at all times. They will assist in the supervision, coordination, training and effective placement of employees to maximize customer satisfaction. The Supervisor actively sells products, all while modeling effective sales techniques and exceptional customer service to those they supervise. This individual will further be responsible for constructing promotional displays, and will ensure product placement is neat and correctly labelled. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

    Job Duties

    • Assist in the supervision, coordination of work, and placement of employees

    • Assist in training staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policies

    • Oversee that merchandise is always presented neatly and that items are priced correctly

    • Assist customers with their retail shopping needs 

    • Ensure proper level of stock is maintained at all times 

    • Ensure merchandise is displayed appropriately and strategically with proper signage and shelf placement according to dealership standards

    • Assemble fixtures as required

    • Other duties to be assigned as necessary 

     

    Qualifications

    • Previous retail experience involving supervising and merchandising 

    • Motorcycle dealership experience is considered an asset

    • Motorcycle knowledge (accessories and apparel)

    • Ability to work in a fast paced dealership

    • Proven leadership 

    • Excellent multitasking, time management, and prioritizing skills

    • Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting

    • Available to work a varying schedule to meet the needs of the business, including days, evenings, Saturdays, and special events such as trade shows a few times a year

  • The Administrator plays a key administrative role in supporting the motorcycle sales team and provides an important link between the salesperson and the client. The Sales Administrator reviews all sales contracts and ensures required documentation is complete and accurate before processing the sale and releasing the vehicle for delivery. Other administrative duties associated with the motorcycle inventory are also handled by this position.

    This position also serves as an assistant to the President of GP Bikes.

    Please note this is not an entry-level position.

    Qualifications:

    • OMVIC certification is an asset
    • Experience in sales administration within the automotive or motorcycle industry
    • Ability to adapt to a changing environment and meet deadlines
    • Must have the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
    • Strong math and organizational skills
    • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport
    • Proven integrity and professionalism in handling confidential material
    • Ability to work proficiently and calmly under pressure
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word and Excel
    • Valid ‘G2’ or higher Drivers License and a Drivers Abstract acceptable to our insurance provider
