In all positions at GP Bikes, it is important for staff to be versatile and willing to assist with a variety of tasks. Unless otherwise stated, most positions involve working mainly during our store hours, however, additional projects may be assigned which require different working hours. Working off-site at Trade Shows beyond these store hours several times a year is a requirement.

  • As a Motorcycle Technician/Mechanic you are responsible for performing all forms of service work from tune-ups to engine rebuilds on most makes and models, including Ducati, Triumph, Honda and KTM. You will complete repair work accurately and within the scheduled time period. You will test ride bikes as required for diagnostic purposes prior to returning to the customer. You will conduct oil changes, tire changes and carb clean setups. This is a full-time position with a higher number of working hours in the busy season.

    Qualifications:

    • Passionate Motorcyclist and have a minimum M2 licence

    • Knowledge and experience working with Ducati, Triumph, Honda and KTM is an asset

    • Must have 310G Motorcycle Mechanic Trade Certification

    • Diagnostic skills with both carbureted and fuel injected engines

    • Basic computer skills

    • Must provide own toolbox and hand-tools specific to the trade while GP does supply some specialty tools

    • Maintain a clean organized workspace

  • If you are organized, have strong attention to detail, and enjoy a hands-on element in your work day, then this may be the job for you. In this position, you will be responsible for unpacking received inventory, making sure it is well accounted for, and labeling it accordingly. You will ensure every item has a security tag and process all required paperwork. When shipping customer orders you will package the items, maintain adequate records for reporting, and track and verify receipt of shipment. Excellent customer service is crucial. During slower periods within our shipping and receiving department, versatility is key! Other duties may include: assisting customers purchasing product; ensuring product is merchandised effectively; responding via phone or email to customer enquiries regarding the shipment/pick up of online orders; and more. If you are someone who loves a physical aspect to your work day but does not shy away from detailed computer work then please apply! 

    Qualifications:

    • Be able to lift or move a minimum of 50 lbs
    • Previous shipping and receiving experience is an asset
    • Previous experience in a retail setting is preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build trust and rapport
    • Positive work attitude
    • Experience operating a forklift and pallet truck would be an asset
    • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel and working knowledge of computers.

  • The Bookkeeper will be responsible to reconcile and process all accounts payables each month. The Bookkeeper will also conduct daily/weekly reconciliations for the Online Sales Department. Duties include, but are not limited to, monthly reconciliation of all credit card statements, monthly general ledger entries, and balancing of all petty cash accounts.

    Job Duties:

    • Prepare and balance monthly accounts payables, including preparing cheques, coding, and posting invoices via general ledger entries, reconciliation of all online store transactions.
    • Balance petty cash accounts, post general ledger entries for internal charges.
    • Monthly general ledger entries for automatic withdrawals.
    • Reconcile credit card statements and process all journal entries related to statements.
    • File and maintain storage of all related records.
    • Maintain up-to-date supporting documentation of all financial, accounting, and bookkeeping activities.
    • Provides assistance to the Senior Bookkeeper where needed.
    • Prepare cash floats for special events (motorcycle shows, trade shows).
    • Provide on-site support during Motorcycle Trade shows several times a year.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma/Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience is required
    • Motorcycle or automotive industry experience is considered an asset
    • Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
    • A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines
    • Excellent data entry skills

    • High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
    • Ability to adjust priorities and manage time wisely in a fast-paced environment

  • As a Parts & Accessories Sales Associate you will deliver outstanding customer service by proactively assisting customers in store and answering inquiries by phone. On and Off-Road parts and accessories knowledge is required to effectively search and determine customers needs. Your goal is customer satisfaction. This position is ideal if you are an individual with a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and ability to be versatile in your role working in our fast paced environment. Other tasks include ensuring merchandise is always presented neatly and priced correctly.

    Qualifications:

    • Passion for the riding lifestyle!
    • Knowledge in motorcycle parts and accessories.
    • 3-5 years of previous customer experience selling motorcycle parts
    • Keyboarding and computer skills
    • Able to work under pressure and good time management
    • Excellent phone and in-person customer service skills
    • Available during all open hours (including Saturdays)
