This innovative back protector features a highly advanced design and is specifically intended for use on the track. The design differs from the traditional concept and sets new standards of comfort. Its innovative manufacturing solution provides much more freedom of movement than its predecessors and allows the protector to faithfully replicate all the forms that the spine takes during a race. The protector can increase or decrease in length to adapt to the rider's body in different positions. It can also curve and flex sideways, again, to follow the shape of the body. The composite sandwich is the result of 30 years experience in designing back protectors. The sandwich consists of articulated external plates made from polypropylene mated to Crash absorb® material. An outer layer of material provides the comfort factor and ensures that the protector matches the shape of the spine. The protector features large perforations and minimal contact points with the body to minimise any discomfort from heat while its light weight enhances the revolutionary design of the system. Thanks to a thin adjustable lumbar strap, the protector can be worn under leathers without pressing against the abdomen.
